Originally, I created Noah’s TimeLine so I could physically see how Noah’s life interrelated with those who lived before and after the Flood.

Taken directly from Genesis Chapters 5 and 11, I laid out the lifespan of each generation but color-coded the lifespan of Adam in yellow, Methuselah in purple, Noah in blue, and Shem in orange

These were generations of fathers and sons who lived concurrently with one another, including with Noah, for hundreds of years. They were family.

A few fascinating insights you will discover as you move across Noah’s TimeLine.

Hidden in the events that took place before the Flood, we can identify the roots of our Judeo-Christian faith that we still adhere to today.

Adam lived long enough to have a 1-to-1 relationship with 8 generations of his descendants, Noah had a 1-to-1 relationship with 6 of them.

Adam was the first to die a natural death; 57 years later God took Enoch, thus revealing to mortal man, the heavenly existence of Eternal Life.

Adam walked with Methuselah for 243 years; Noah walked with Methuselah for 600 years. What do you think they talked about?

Noah’s great-grandson, Nimrod, built the Tower of Babel, Noah would have seen God bring it down and confuse the people’s language.

After the Flood, Noah had 1-to-1 relationship connections with 10 generations of his descendants, including Abraham.

Noah’s son, Shem, and great, great-grandson, Eber, would have had one-to-one relationships with Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, and Jacob. What do you think they talked about?

Noah’s TimeLine gives you a new, fresh look at the Oral History Noah and Shem carried across the Flood. May it enrich your faith and deepen your love for God’s Word.
